Candy is a highly experienced author, poet, and performer, for over 28 years. Current CEO of Dallas Poetry Slam, and owner of CandysWorld Ent, she has worked as a Lead Instructor for the Literary Arts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and has created a teaching artist program for Dallas Poetry Slam that partners with youth organizations across the country. Candy is also an entrepreneur and a national corporate motivational speaker. She has spoken at a variety of events across the country, including the Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Summit, the inaugural TedxFrisco, and the TACA Silver Cup Award Luncheon.
Executive Assistant
Dex is a poet and performer who has been active in the scene since 2014. Dex is also the website designer and Executive Assistant for Dallas Poetry Slam since 2019. He formerly hosted the Life Through Art open mic and the "On The Writer's Block" radio show on the KEBN Network with his best friend Janae. In addition to his work in poetry. He has worked as a Teaching Artist through Dallas Poetry Slam.

C.R.U.S.H [Creating.Realities.Using.Spiritual.Hands] is a nationally ranked and internationally performed spoken word artist, as well as the host of FluidFridays Queer Open Mic. With experience in curriculum writing and youth workshops, C.R.U.S.H is dedicated to creating safe spaces for the community to connect and express themselves. She is also committed to raising awareness and creating opportunities for learning, while providing entertainment.

Don is a black queer male born and raised in the Bronx, NYC, and lives by way of Dallas, Texas now. Don is a ranked poet and a creative, working on numerous projects showcasing black expression and community support. He has a Masters's degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University. Don's primary focus is creating inclusive spaces in all facets of his involvement.
